The potential to be a great hostel, great facilities, but the staff and especially the owner are pretty awful. A wonderful example of his country of origin (guess where)! Loud, obnoxious and anal. Nearly 16 months of travel and one of the most annoying owners I have come across.

Pool table, fuzball, table tennis, xbox, midday check out, breakfast until 1pm.... all the backpacker could want! Good atmosphere. Really chilled out. Helpful staff.

Really cool place to meet people. I had a blast there and would go back.
Unlike most other hostels I have been to, free internet actually means free internet -- you can generally use it when you want for as long as you want and not worry about hogging it. Pool table, PS2, a TON of new and good movies to watch on the big screen... it was surprisingly good all around.

I recently stayed at hostal De Sammy and after backpacking for 8 months and staying at atleast 30 different hostals, this has been up there in the top 5!
And if you are lucky enough to arrive on the one day of the week that they host a free great dinner like i was than even better!!

Really friendly staff and fun atmosphere with music playing all day. Really nice wide bunk beds! Safe location and good breakfast.
