This hostel is so-so, it had a half finished feeling- lacking working air conditioning and fans in the sweltering august weather. The private room's shared bathroom didn't have a shower curtain, there are dogs running around and barking. However, where it lacked in general amenities it made up for in spectacular views and even though its at the very top of the hill in Positano, it is right near two of the bus stops for both intercity and local buses. fantastic location!amazing views and cheap for positano... leah (american girl who does the morning shift) is wonderful...very helpful and goes out of her way to make your stay a memorable one...the other staff were not good at all...rude in fact...if it wasnt for leah i would have rated poorly...the hostel itself is ok...3 dogs on the premises, u must be ok with dogs...other than that positano is a must do in italy...! vivian, from Australia ~ 4th Aug 2009

Top spot. Lots of stairs to get up there but it's well worth it; the view is absolutely phenomenal. Super friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast and meals in general and Positano is a true gem of a place. The room was a bit spartan but other than that, full marks. best place in town to stay for price. views spectacular. shops around are cheapest for great food. the hostel lobby smelt like wet dogs(they have dogs) so if you dont like dogs?? lots of walking steps etc to get to main area in town but the bus service is really good(make sure you have the right change)The bathroom was CLEAN.
