I have stayed here twice over the past 2 years and I love it. I think I would stay here every time I go to Marrakesh because of the location (five minute walk to the Jamaa el Fna square) and the atmosphere. Every time I go I meet amazing people and the all the staff is very helpful and friendly. The shared rooms are big, clean and have lockers. I absolutely recommend staying at La Casa Del Sol on your visit to Marrakesh. Jara, from USA ~ 8th Jan 2012

No one was at the reception when we arrived. One of the guest opened the front door and then we had to wait, the night person who had just come for his shift was out to get dinner...... The heater in the room did not work, but we were able to get another heater. Also the internet seldom worked in the room, and breakfast was just OK for the price. It is extra. Excellent location (right near to the main square), staff really helpfull (they pick up us without charging from the other hostel), great beds, A.C. on the bedroom. The only complain I have is about the bathroom (we booked a 4-bed shared bathroom): when two people take a shower (they have two bathrooms) one of them was almost running out of water, and I think they should be cleaned or at least dryed more times than they were. Location is next to the Djemma de Fna (main square) however it is a bit hard to find. It's tucked away amonst many small streets and alleys. The cost is very comparable to other hostels in the area but the beds, sheets, and blanks looked very used and dirty. I slept in a single bed w/ private bath. The bathroom and shower were clean. There was a clear window w/o curtains in the bathroom that made showering and using the bathroom very awkward because the window faced the inner courtyard/stairs. Annie, from USA ~ 24th Mar 2011

The people of the reception are very helpfull. The casa is clean and at a good position near by the main squar of marrakech. The trip in the dessert is also nice. Will you see the real dessert, take a trip of 3 days. Caroline, from Netherlands ~ 27th Feb 2011
