A little off the beaten path, but the lake is quite charming. Great amenities - bikes, pool table, breakfast. Staff is great and will pick you up in surrounding towns if you cant get back to Torricella. Skip the dinner they offer (one of the worst meals I've had in Italy) and go to the pizza place - Caravelle- a few hundred meters up the road. Gavin, from USA ~ 22nd Oct 2009

La Casa is fantastic, thanks to wonderful staff and warm hospitality. Even though there is not much around, the free bikes make exploring fun and I've really enjoyed my time at the hostel. It's hard to leave and I highly recommend it!!! Katie, from USA ~ 18th Sep 2009

I was really sorry that I spent just 1 night in this amazing place. If you want to discover the real country side Italy - go there:))) the owner of the hotel is very helpful and extraordinary person - and the hotel itself has a soul. Location is in a calm place on the beautiful lake shore - although it's very easy to find if you are traveling by car. Definitely I would like to spend more days there. Great for large groups, they have a lot of space, a small soccer field and volleyball court. The lake is across the street, beautiful sunsets, and Cortona is a 30 mins away. It was a great stay and I will return next time I am in the area. The staff were wonderful. (they even upgraded my room at no extra cost) Adam, from USA ~ 22nd May 2009
