Nothing super fancy but lovely homely feeling in this old wooden house. Only tried a double, dunno about dorms. Haven't use shared kitchen but seemed fine. Great location too Read Owner Comments fabien, from France ~ 26th Jan 2012

Love the place! Lantana Lodge is clean, safe and in a nice residential area. The staff and the owner are super helpful and it is a quiet place and has free internet (wifi and desktops). Cute place, has a charm to it. They offered free tea and spices which was a nice help. Bit of a walk to town. Very clean, probably due to no outdoor shoes inside. Owner was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Victoria, from Canada ~ 16th Oct 2011

I've stayed in a lot of hostels around the world and this is by far the worst! Don't stay here if you can help it. My room stunk! A mixture of sweaty feet and mouldy food. My bed was right next to a wooden patio style door which didn't close properly, every time a gust of wind came I had a curtain in my face. The lockers again stunk, I didn't dare put anything in them and carried everything about with me at all times. I didn't feel safe here at all. Fine for a few days if you want somewhere quiet. Although the place itself is very old. 2 or 3 days there is fine though. Close to the city bit of a walk but easy to get a bus. Not one for the party animals though. Also, largely Asian based. Manager and one staff member with limited english and no knowledge of the area. An OK place.
