The good: Near a great part of St. Denis, with lots of funky shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Very accessible by the metro for other areas. Some staff were friendly. Breakfast, while limited, was still free which for a hostel one can't complain! The bad: 11pm common areas shut down and even before staff are not ok with people drinking. It's a hostel! This is a neat and reasonable place to stay in Montreal, and probably couldn't get much better unless you stayed in a hotel. The bilingual staff was very helpful to a uni lingual American like me, and the free breakfast hit the spot. On my next trip to Montreal, I'm staying here again. Michael, from USA ~ 16th Aug 2009
