Le Jazz St. Denis in Montreal, Canada

We stayed at the hostel for 5 days. It was a really good experience in a very friendly atmosphere. Our private room (shared bathroom) had a TV and frigobar, a nice surprise. The bathroom was always clean and towels, bedsheets and blankets were provided. The only thing we didn´t like was that sometimes an unpleasant smell would come up from the air pipes. Some maintenance could be needed in the bathroom, the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet at all and the faucet handle for the shower came off too. oh yeah, my key didn't really work too well for my door, fortunately other guests where there when i needed in so it wasn't a big deal. shane, from USA ~ 9th Nov 2009

We suggest to travelers to have a night there. We were in a private insuite for 3. That was excellent. bed are very confortable. People were very friendly. Only bad point - The breakfast was not there ! but you can eat everywhere around the hostel!!!. not tipical.. really nice place. SPINOUSE, from France ~ 22nd Oct 2009

I`m sorry to say that i didn`t enjoy my stay at this hostel at all. The staff were nice but told us conflicting information about breakfasts. It was very dirty both in the rooms and especially the communal kitchen. And the worst part was the ridiculous heat of the dormitories with no ventilation, and the beds felt like they were about to fall apart.

Hi Rohane, We're so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Most of our guests find our accomodations to be very clean and we have had little complaints. We will definately be checking to see who was cleaning during your stay to find out why the situation wasn't up to par. As for the heat in the dorms... the time you visited was the first weekend that we put on the heat since last winter! So many people requested that we make it warmer. If we had known it was too hot for some, we would have gladly lowered it. We hope you will give us another chance and let us know at the reception how we can help you better. Thanks, le jazz
