Meininger Central Station Berlin is an excellent facility you can use as your home base when exploring Berlin. Staff are very friendly, go out of their way to understand your language and provide excellent recommendations of where to go or not to go in the surrounding area. I highly endorse this location based on my experience there of New Years. Should my travels lead me back to Berlin I would definitely stay here again. R. The reason I came back to this place again and again is because of the location and the cleanliness and entire atmosphere! It's located near the central Hauptbahnhof so you can get almost anywhere with in a transfer or two. This hotel is perfect for people arriving by train. The room was modern and clean. Even though it is next to the station it wasn't too noisy from the trains. Completely corporate, lacks that personal touch that most hostels I've visited have, and so do the staff (they do their job thoroughly but are impersonal). Location is a no-brainer, but for this reason there were much younger (high school) aged while I stayed (not what i was looking for). If you want a soulless hotel feel with hostel dorm-type accommodations stay here. Otherwise you could find somewhere else with more energy and character. The hotel is perfect! The rooms are new and well-equipped, very comfortable beds. There's a lobby with a bar where guys hang out and there's free wifi there and a guest kitchen with a washing machine (5 euros). PERFECT location - I could throw something @ HBF Centraal and hit it. Great kitchen, SO clean, was a bit like a hotel (TVs in bedroom, etc). We met some amazing people!
