Although it doesn't occur very often that it is that cold in Barcelona, the facilities, mainly kitchen and bathroom, were freezing cold during our stay in February. On the other hand it was nice to have electrical heaters in the rooms. All in all a nice hostel with excellent location and very good value for money! We had a very nice stay. I booked twin-bed ensuite The hostel is nice itself. Room was clean.The bathroom is clean too (though it asks for cosmetic works). The possible drawbacks: very noisy street by the window so it was hard to sleep at first and noy very pleasant stains on blanket and lamps. But overall experience was positive. Bad shower facilities, shower doors were broken, no place to hang your clothings, gotta pay extra for bedsheets. Location is not that great but alright for the price i was paying, staff was really friendly, my bad for not getting his name but overall an ok hostel. Showers go scalding hot when someone flushes toilet and you cant turn it off since it is on a timer, it actually scalded me twice and sorta dampened whole experience here. I stayed 6 nights in a 8-bed dorm. Since the windows faced the street the traffic was rather loud in the morning. Also the bathrooms are quite small and with little space for your things. And where was the air con as advertised above? Apart from that I can recommend the hostel. It was clean, staff at reception always friendly. It is close to the metro and the kitchen well equipped to prepare a meal. And I do not agree with the reviewers below that the other guests were unsocial or inconsiderate Martin, from Germany ~ 21st Sep 2011

Lots of storage space thanks to many spare lockers downstairs (just 1 euro deposit that you get back). 2 minute walk to the metro. Could use some soap and dryer or paper towels in the washroom. There r better hostels in Barcelona for same price or even less.. only one small TV room as common area, no breakfast and very very quiet people ! I know it's not hostel's fault but still it was the first place like that for me.. rooms are very cramped, but at least there is one more bathroom on the ground floor which should be free most of the time. Nice place for people who prefer spend their time on their own and not looking for social life in hostel:) Magdalena, from Poland ~ 7th Sep 2011
