No A/C (Air Conditioning) or even a fan in my room made my three night stay in August an unbearably hot & uncomfortable one. I was tossing & turning in my bed into the early hours of the morning. The little window in my room when opened provided virtually no help as there was little breeze. I fail to understand how hostels in India and Thailand can offer private rooms for $10 / night with fans (ceiling or oscillating) and the Neill-Wycik hostel in Toronto, Canada does not. I stayed there for two days and I had a great stay. I chose "6 bed female dorm (shared bathroom)" and got a single room and had to share two bathrooms and one kitchen with 5 other girls!!! Breakfast is good too! Gonna come back soon!!! Stefanie, from Austria ~ 21st Aug 2011

One thing anyone staying should do is go to the top floor and go the viewing deck.The view of the downtown Toronto skyline is exceptional particulary at night.I'm amazed that nobody mentioned this - I only found it by accident. John, from Ireland ~ 19th Aug 2011

Good location within walking sistance to allot of sites in Tornonto. We found it great value for money and rooms are off a good standard as you are staying in college accomdation. Dorms are actually all single rooms. Able to buy attraction tickets form the hostal and staff were friendly. Only issue was that we didn't find out tll we were leaving that there was a outdoor terrace and air conditioned lounge we could of used, could of been better advertised.Twin room was a little crampt. The rooms were basically clean, but the elevator, laundry room, hallways and kitchen were not. It is advertised having kitchen facilities, yet it does not have any dishes, or cooking utensils. I was booked for a week, but left after one night. Ann, from Canada ~ 10th Aug 2011
