NevskyHostel A Balaton Region, Russia

The hostel was extremely noisy during my stay, mostly because a Russian family (complete with young & excitable children) took over the dormitory next to mine & seemed to spend a major part of their time loudly celebrating in family together-ness. Not fun, especially when the dormitory rooms are equiped with televisions. Apart from that, the location is perfect, the place is clean enough & the staff all right, though I haven't had much to do with them. really good location within easy walking distance to most things. Was empty when i stayed (bad if on you're on your own) but you could still hear everything everyone else was doing on your floor (including using the toilet). If you need any help/have questions the staff are pretty useless & seem pretty put out for having to help you. don't think they smiled once the whole time i was there. on the plus registration is cheap and easy, beds are really comfortable and each bed gets a locker. The 1st 2 days I spent here I thought were excellent as everything was very clean & you couldnt wish for a better location. Unfortunately on my final night I was sharing with 4 older women who decided it was OK to watch TV and talk loudly in the dorm at for a long time until gone 1am. louise, from England ~ 1st Jul 2009

Hardest was to find the hostel since there are two streets with almost the same name. Next time just print Google Map w address. Otherwise location good, straight entrance to Dvortsovaya Plaza via backstreets. There were 5 people at registration, everyone was asked 180 RUB for city registration. The slogan of the reception guy: "its old information" when it was said to be free in their own brand new advert at desk. Overall: Comfty hostel, free internet, friendly people.
