Having experience staying in many different hostels around the world, San Giorgio Villa was all we could have asked for and more. It is reasonably priced with a large sleeping space (with ensuite bathroom), in a great location right in the heart of town. There is a man named Mr George who may own the facility or just run it.. either way he was more than hospitable and made our stay very pleasant. Excellent place to stay! In the center of the town of Thira. A few steps from the restaurants, bars, supermarkets and bus station. The owners are very friendly, made us feel very comfortable, we were transferred to and from the port, free of charge. The room is huge, with air conditioning and refrigerator, to hair dryers. 100% recommended, is the place to stay in Santorini. Vanina, from Argentina ~ 13th Oct 2011

I traveled with 2 friends for mid term break to Greece. Santorini we thought that Santorini was the best part not only because the view and everything was nice but specially the hostel. George was very helpful with instructions, he will always asks us how was our day and very understanding that we had a problem with the tickets of the ferry back to Athens. The location is in the city center of Fira. The owner, George, was very nice, helpfull and hospitable. He alsorecommend us with "must see spot" in Santorini, car rental and good restaurant.
