very very good! the staff was really sweet and she was very helpful all the time. first thing i liked about this hostel was the location. it is very close to the main bus/train/ferry station so u dont have to worry about carrying all ur heavy bags hours and hours trying to find the hostel. just ask to ppl with the address and they will let u know how to get there.
it was also very clean, but the shower was cold sometimes. kitchen was very small, but foods are cheap in split u rarely cook over

Silver Gate Hostel was a great place to stay for my 5 days in Split. Met so many friendly people from all over the world and the staff were great. Tried very hard to converse in English and did a great job. Fantastic directions and places to visit while in Split. A+ for me....if i come to SPlit again, I will stay here.

the room I stayed has very little sound proof, so when people finishing partying at 4am and returning to the hostel, we all got woken up. apart from that, location was pretty good.

Great place. Right outside Diocletian's palace. Storage lockers are great. Kitchen is just a small fridge, hotplate, and some utensils, but food is cheap in Croatia so I didn't see too many people cooking. Great staff give good advice about places to eat and things to see. Security is quite good - the staff are always checking to see who's coming in.
