St Clair is conveniently located and we get a private room for a dorm price.No cooking but there is a pantry with microwave, fridge, kettle & toaster for our use.I have nothing to complain about it. Good for value. Jean, from Singapore ~ 23rd Sep 2011

This hostel was what I was expecting, with a few things off. One, the separate washrooms smelled terrible and weren\'t always the cleanest. I pretty much just spent time sleeping, so for that I would recommend it. Its in a great part of gastown, close to nicer areas, so I always felt safe. Laura, from USA ~ 13th Aug 2011

Downtown Vancouver is just really expensive. This place was not horrible at all, it just was not worth the price. Also it's not in the best part of downtown so once the sun goes down, you don't really feel comfortable being outside. Brooks, from USA ~ 8th Aug 2011

Good location - walking distance of skytrain and downtown. Quiet hostel with mixed age group. Shared bathroom facilities weren't always clean. Small common areas. Friendly staff and quiet atmosphere. We just had a one night stay, before going cruising.The staff were very helpful with lugging suitcases up the stairs.Location great for restaurants, a little noisy outisde at night but to be expected.Overall very pleased with location and price. Christine, from England ~ 25th Jul 2011
