Telmotango did the job, we had a bed and we got some sleep when we needed it. It isn't a very personable place. Most people are there with a friend and have no interest in meeting other people. If you are younger and need a place to find people to go party with or increase your facebook world, go somewhere else.

staff was exceptionally friendly and willing to help out with details. hostel was older but had a lot of character. rooms near streetfront very nice but bring ear plugs for incessant traffic noise.

Good location just down from the main plaza. Friendly staff if not a little annoying but they are trying so you can´t down score them for that. The room could have been a bit better but we were under the stairs so it may have just been poor room. Good internet access and very secure. Allowed us to keep our bags locked away until our bus 10 hours after check out.

Really friendly helpful staff, nice and quiet at night, ideal base for exploring both San Telmo and the city. Our room could have done with a bit of redecoration but it was very clean.

I didn´t actually spend the night there - I found a room in an apartment right away after arriving, so I moved there. But the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and gave me a warm welcome to Argentina. They sat me down, gave me coffee, showed me how to use the pay phone and gave me a map of town.

Very good. I stayed in a private ensuite room just off the reception, which was very confortable and had lots of character. It was fairly quite with a slightly older clientale - mid 20s to earlys 50s. I always managed to use the internet whenever I need it. The breakfast nothing special, but OK. The location is good for San Telmo and only a short walk to the Subte station to other parts of town. Staff were friendly but not overly pushy.
