The Steam Engine, Bestplace Inn, Waterloo in London, England

It's a nice and small personable place to stay. There wasn't much fun or enteratinment there, and because it's kinda like a local bar, there were older clients there, and because I was an alone woman, they wouldn't stop talking with me, thinking I was lonely, so I couldn't talk too much with the other younger people staying there. I would definitely stay in this hostel again. The location was about 15 minutes walking from the Westminster Bridge. The rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The best part about our stay was that they played Premier League/Champions League games... They have tried to crowd 12 people into rooms that are maybe suited for 8. There was no room to put anything. Upon checking in I used the restrooms and there was no TP in the stall. They advertise a free pint of beer if you book with them witch I never received. I would not recomend this place to anyone. Sean, from Canada ~ 16th Oct 2009

STAY HERE!!! The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful! This place is a lot of fun and you will meet all kinds of great people! I thought this place was amazing. Everything was kept pretty clean. The location was really nice not far from the Waterloo train station and just down the street from the Lambeth North tube.
