the free breakfasts are awesome and helps with the costs of NYC. staff are really friendly except for one guy who was rude to everyone and everytime i encountered him. stay here its an awesome place. oh and the little kittens made it even better.

Clean, friendly staff, close to the subway and buses, only 3 blocks from Central Park!
Harlem's a bit scary at first but you quickly get used to it. A great experience!

Die Umgebung, hinterlässt nicht den besten Eindruck, war aber in der Nacht relativ sicher (ich bin immer gegen Mitternacht ins Hostel zurück). Die Gäste, Staff, und das Frühstück sind spitze.
Es ist sehr sauber (es wird jeden Tag geputzt)

Good hostel overall. Decent location and close to north/south subway lines to get to downtown Manhattan. You may not necessarily get the room you booked online, but the staff do the best they can to accommodate everyone. Nice to get free breakfast!

Generally, very nice stay there. You need big padlock to lock your stuff. Btw. lockers are pretty small... There is no problem to catch wifi signal from neighbourhood. Tasty muffins and coffee for breakfast. 5mins of walk to closest subway station.

i did not spend much time at the hostel, apart from sleeping. i thought that the hostel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. there is a small kitchen downstairs, which is also clean, and free breakfast, which is something you will not find easily in other nyc hostels. the kitchen gets very crammed though during breakfast, and you might have to have breakfast standing. it is very basic breakfast, with two types of bread and two types of fruit. i only wish they would have h
