There are three things that I really did not like in this hostel. First of all, it is really far away from the city. Second, there is neither refrigerator to keep food no kitchen to cook food. Consequently, you should eat outside and it is quite expensive in Roma. Third thing it is their bathroom. In the area where people changing their clothes are totally open for observation. The showers are small and you cannot take your clothes with you. It will be nice if they will at least close Zhanar, from Kazakstan ~ 6th Oct 2009

This place is really in the middle of no where so do not us your gps to get there, it will send you into the middle of a field. THe rooms were nice and clean. They were small but we only used them for sleeping. THe food and bar was really good. We ate there every chance we got and the little store on the site was really cheap and had lots of great stuff. The only thing I did not like was that the walls of the rooms are very very thin so you hear everything. Bring earplugs:) over all love!! Peggy, from USA ~ 13th Oct 2009

Very well equipped camping-ground. Clean and nice. But it takes about 45 minutes to central-Roma. Be sure to take anti-mosquito cream with you and book all days in advance. If you you expand at the reception you'll pay a different, more expensive, price. The walls in the twin rooms, at least in that one with shared bathroom, are veeeery thin! Watch out, if you make any noise! ;-) All in all a very nice, well to recommending hostel for a great time in one of the hottest cities on earth! Goran, from Germany ~ 21st Sep 2009

We came after peak season so the place was quieter than usual, though the staff are friendly and there were always a few other people to chat to. The private rooms are in caravans with two rooms to each caravan. Unless you opt for en suite expect to have to walk outside to the toilets and showers. Nice to have a swimming pool, restauraunt and bar on site though the shop opening hours of 8am-12pm & 4pm-8pm caused some issues. Not bad for a place outside the city but definitely not in central Rome Gabrielle, from England ~ 14th Sep 2009

Would deffinately recommend and stay again. The only issue is that it's not in the city center, but the train is easy to use and the people at the camp are great! Kelly, from USA ~ 8th Sep 2009

Okay campsite. Con: Rather boring rectangular structure, cut-back trees that presently do not provide extensive shade and many mosquitos (actually, the site is located next to a lake/swamp). Pro: The campsite is good to reach by car from northern direction (without having to drive through the centre of Rome), good connection to the city centre, friendly staff, good restaurant and okay toilet/shower facilities. I loved the fact that the hostel is on a camping with a nice bar and a swimming pool! Rome is hot! What we didn't like were the many mosquitoes and the mouse in our room :s Hanneke, from Netherlands ~ 11th Aug 2009

Tiber was a great stay and my favorite leg of our trip. The pool is crowded and it's a bit out of the way (takes about 30-40 min. to get into the city) but it is a mini city with very reasonable prices in both the restaurant and the market. The food in the restaurant was incredible. I ordered the 8 euro special every night and was never disappointed. And if you want to spend even less, the market sells enough for you to cook a pasta meal. Bring earplugs : ) Jeremy, from USA ~ 1st Aug 2009
