A friend of mine stayed at Travellers House last year and when he got back home half of his wonderful stories on Portugal concerned the hostel; this year I joined him in his visit to other parts of Portugal, but of course spending some nights in Lisbon at the Travellers House and I can confirm his thoughts: wonderful place and wonderful people.

This is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed at, and I plan to come back very soon. The staff is awesome, the breakfast is home made, the location is a dream, if we travellers start to get hostels like this it means a next step in the hostel life! Amazing design and deco, we re proud of you travellers house!

My good memories in Lisbon are because I decided to stay in this place! From the get-go, they make you feel welcome, and the staff is so helpful and genuinely friendly! The lady who cooks breakfast makes some mean eggs. A 90 degree difference from the other place I had to stay in b/c of unavailability (Lisbon Poets Hostel sucks!) Here, they'll give you lots of tips for an enjoyable time, and the availabily of activities and tours are also great and cheap. If you're a loner, it's also cool b/c th
