Young & Happy A Buffalo, Francia

The location is great: rue de Muffetard is full of nice restaurants and in a strategic position to visit the city. The staff is nice and kind, perfectly english speaking! But..the toilets..omg the toilets! We were on 4th floor and nearest WC was on 2nd, it was always dirty and very unconfortable for travellers with no space to lean stuff. Next time, I'll look out for sth. better..

Great fun place in the latin quarter, you can do a great walk to see notre dame, then louvre, then eiffel tower all in one shot. Nice street it's on with bars and restaurants and all around fun place

It's dripping from the ceiling of the shower and scums (mildew) in the toilet & shower.the toilet was brimmed with shit, all kinds of body juices on the floor,in and around the toilet, on the matress and the biggest joke of all : you are not allowed to stay in your room between 11am and and 4 pm because of the CLEANING??? i dont mind the simple life of a hostel at all, but i want it at least clean. i didnt pay 44 euro per night to get herpes. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Overall, it was better than I expected. The beds are clean, but the bathrooms are gross. There are only like 4 bathrooms and 4 showers for the entire hostel too. We had a quiet stay, but there are bars all around the hostel if you are looking to go out. Also, try the escargot at the restaurant across the street, Mufftard. It's delicious and the staff is wonderful!

I've just stayed in 4 Parisian hostels in eight days. From worst to best: Young & Happy, Square Caulaincourt, St Christopher's, and Le Montclair. Good for Y&H: The location Bad: Very dirty linen needs to be rented unprofessional (I found a master-keycard in one of the bathrooms) calls "en suite" what is only a private toilet, shared shower Andreas, from Germany ~ 13th Mar 2011
