Though choosing a hostel as a place to stay in Singapore is only an afterthought, it seems to me i made the perfect choice. Actually i really enjoyed staying in this hostel. No hassles and i was able to sleep well. My roommates who are of varied nationalities are all well-mannered and respect the privacy of the others. I would definitely return and stay there again when i had another chance to visit singapore in the future. For those who are travelling alone, i recommend Fragrance Hostel. Very near the Bugis and Little India MRT Stations. Even a first timer (like me) in Singapore will easily locate the Hostel. Staying there, you can go anywhere you want in all four corners of Singapore via the MRT system without worrying getting lost along the way. You only need to master the way to the hostel from the Bugis or Little India MRT Stations. To all the staff especially Mr. Phamn and Bernie, thank you for your friendly accommodation. Keep up the good work - YOU'RE THE BEST and SEE YOU AGAIN guys. As to the facilities -- good air conditioning system; nice shower-if you want a hot shower before u sleep you can have in split seconds; hot water for coffee, instant noodles or oatmeal for meals is provided in every floor; self-operated laundry with dryer provided for a minimal fee; very clean rooms and sanitized Toilet and Bath; in checking out early- the front desk staff is always willing and ready to call the taxi-company for the convenience of their guest. I give you are 105% and for me the BEST HOSTEL in the world.

The staff here is very friendly and accomodating. However, my door was stuck all the time and I had to hope someone else was inside. Also, the beds were very loud, I had a top bunk, and I could not get down without waking up the guy in the lower bunk. All the people in my room were not backpackers but were trying to find a job in Singapore, so it was a different crowd than I normally met in hostels. The bathrooms were clean though, which is always a plus.

Best hostel i ve stayed in. Excellent location, most clean and modern hostel i've ve seen in the wprld! Airconditon is all yours and u can turn it on anytime and any temperature u want. Located near the Bugis MRT, Tekka Mall, Bencoolen st mall, Sim Lim Towers, near the banks and ATMs and near the Queen St. bus station to Johore. Eateries and pubs are all on the same street. I would strongly recommend the Fragrance Hostel to anyone! Good deal for money!
