Baxpax downtown Hostel Hotel opened in April/May 2006. We are located in a super central location behind the famous Friedrichstadtpalast.

The hostel was generally good. But the private toilet was outside the room, which was not very convenient for us. The 5-bed room was large enough. But there was neither any chairs nor large tables in the room. There were no wardrobes either. The walls in the room were with footprints and thus dirty. The breakfast was not included and everything needed to be paid (towels, Internet), though the location was near the Friedrichstrasse station.

the super cool bartender took us to a club after he closed up... the bar inside is really nice and affordable

we had a really great time at this hostel, its much more like a hotel which is nice but can be quite formal compared to hostels. the bar is great really good way to meet people, recommended but not ideal for people who want the real hostel experience!
