although we booked and paid thru the internet nobody was expecting us when we arrived and we had to go to another hotel

Pros: - the girl that works there is friendly and helpful - the location is good - the room was clean Cons: - I did not have hot water for the shower most of the time. - the other women that work there weren't as friendly - people sleep in the lobby area so you have to wake people up when you get back after dark or leave early - I would look for a better tour agency than the one that they use as they were late, had bus problems, and weren't the best guides.

This is by far one of the friendliest places I have stayed in Asia. The rooms are spotless and the staff are more than happy to help you sort out discounted tours and transport.

When we booked this hotel on hostels,com we've send an email to the hotel with the request to pick us up at the airport. When we arrived there, there was nobody! After calling a few times there stille was no answer! Because we couldn't find the hostel, we booked another one. The next day we looked for the hotel and found it in a narrow street. The owners pretented that they didn't know us and wouldn't give our money back! Our advice: Don't book this hotel!!

Fine for the price you pay, and the location is great. A few things to be aware of... some of the staff border on surly (though Hanh, the manager, is lovely) and they close the front gate early in the evening. There was also some construction work going on. Otherwise, it suited our need for an inexpensive, convenient place to stay.
