Central air conditioning may cause some questions. Everything else is easily explained - it's just hostel. But you still have your own space, bed, power outlet to charge your phone and notebook. And it's still on Manhattan!

I'm a big proponent of going to a cheap hostel and never being there, just enjoying the city on the budget, but this is too was a little past my limit. Next time I would choose another location, the dirtiness and discomfort I felt for my security was more than I care for.
