This hostel seemed to have been renovated recently so there were very modern amentites and rooms. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Had a great experience and recommend this place for sure!

It was not easy for us to find it. The staff is very nice and the place is clean.

What a lovely surprise to find this place! We were looking for cheap and easy and found warm and comfortable and friendly in the process. The family that owns this renovated guest house also lives here and it feels very much like staying at a friends house. Extremely comfortable beds with big squishy down comforters. Bike rentals make it really easy to visit any of the temples within the city's core. I highly recommend staying here - my only reservation about filling out this survey was in fear of the place becoming too popular to find a room at my next visit to Kyoto. - A Student Traveler Tired of Hostels
