Although we stayed in a 5-bed female dorm room with no other guests in the room for three days and the bathroom was down the hall, when I told the desk staff that my 20 yr old daughter was sick and could not tour Berlin with me and needed her own key, the clerk refused to issue us a second key. Therefore I had to leave my daughter sleeping in an unlocked room so that she could get to the bathroom. I had to take the one key issued to me so that I could enter the building and hallway to get to my daughter. Furthermore, without a key my daughter could not exit her hallway to get to the front desk in the case of an emergency. That there was no second key for my daughter, when the room had five beds, is not something I accept as truth-telling by the clerk.

I really had a nice stay in this hostel...it's definitely welcoming and very clean, breakfast is excellent :) and the people who work there are very very nice, funny and helpful for any needs you should have...it's located in a cool area, full of bars and nightlife, and superclose to the tube and the train station. For sure if I happen to come to Berlin again I'll stay there. bye bye Veronica

they put a wrong price on this cite.I booked here because the price was cheap. even though that was their fault,the staff blamed ME!! and they turned awfully unkind to me . then they gave me the wrong key where a middle aged guy stayed.I was going to be raped! only the man as a night staff were so kind and tried to help me.
Although the staff were friendly, they were very slow and made a lot of mistakes e.g. with room numbers. My room was only cleaned once during a 4-night stay. Before I moved into my room, the cleaner never turned off the hotel alarm clock since the previous guest and it woke me at 4am. The hostel also claimed to have 3 fully functional kitchens but 2 of these were locked and the 3rd was a mess - wood and machinery lying around, no toaster, no kettle. This was all a bit disappointing, although the hostel is in a great location and is quite peaceful and quiet.
