two grandsons and myself stayed at this Hostel, I paid for all three of us for 3 nights. The oldest grandson told me in the afternoon of our arrival, that his cousins from other side of the family had asked him to come to their house for the night and would I mind. I said of course not. Then in the middle of the night someone else occupied his empty bed. I went at that time to the desk clerk and he came to the room. There was no other empty bed in the room. The place really has soul and it is the perfect place to come if you want to meet new people who are all on different stages of exploring the city and therefore can help you with revievs. There is a great atmosphere and always someone to talk to from a lot of different places which is great.

You pay for what you get. Very affordable and literally across the street from the metro station. Also very close to 7-11 and CVS and great farmer's market on Sundays. However, I went during a 100+ degree heat wave and with no AC, it was very hot. Downstairs has the lingering smell of cigarette smoke and there can be bed bugs. Staff were very friendly and bathrooms were very clean. They like to drink (outside) and go out weekends if you're into that.
