The Youth Hostel San Frediano is located in the very heart of the old town. Its a beautiful building, recently restored and can host up to 140 people

Please note, if you are not a Member of Hostelling International there is an extra charge of €3 per person per night. What a unique place.I absolutely loved it and it made our visit to Lucca.It was right inside the town wall in an old closter and is very close to the Roman Ampitheater which is the center of night life.Next time we are in Lucca we will stary there again. joseph, from USA ~ 25th Aug 2011
