Ciao travelers- Catania welcomes you to our Volcanic city.
The history of the city has always been strongly linked to Mt Etna volcano. Thus the Catanese people have admiration and respect for "The Mountain". The city already destroyed 7 times by Etna in the last 2500 years has always been rebuilt . Yes, it seems Catanese people want to live here and only here!!
Walking in the city, you can see archeological digs and learn more about the previous ancient cities (Greeks, Romans..) underneath the actual city. Like most of Sicily, Catania is renowned for its beautiful Baroque city center, for its landscapes (seaside and Mt Etna), history (Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabians, Normans, Spanish, etc..) and of course the mediterranean weather.
Catania, the cradle of theatre and music, is a city to experience both by day and by night. In the day, when the sun shines, the city's Baroque palaces, and their glistening black lava and white limestone dominate the view. When the evening comes, the clubs open and the squares fill up with people.
Come Experience Catania! We expect you at the time you indicated. In case of any change of time or date, please let us know: we can be reached at any time by phoning or by mail
