Casa Caracol is a friendly and relaxed little backpackers in the heart of old Cadiz.
The caracol- meaning snail in Spanish- reflects the slow pace of things here, hence travellers tend to slow down and sense a different rhythm. We have created a beautiful rooftop garden, full of plants and hammocks, where you can snooze through the siesta or sleep the night under the stars.
The hostal now consists of three floors plus the rooftop garden
( tropical outdoor bathroom), and so is full of different chill out spaces.
The newly renovated ground floor has a kitchen / reception / common area with a wood burning stove for the winter chill and provides a cool respite from the summer heat.
There is no lock out or curfew allowing you to find a time table that suits yourself. We have a fully equipped kitchen, offer washing facilities and actively recycle. The price includes internet access and breakfast.
We are located in the town centre five minutes from the train station and under ten minutes from the surf beach.

This was an awesome hostel. The staff was awesome, and if you'd had a full day, they make home made dinner everynight from scratch and throw in a mojito or sangria for the fun of it. The building it's self is weird and cool. The only thing I would say could use improvement is the wifi and the price. This is the cheapest hostel in Cadiz but it's still kinda expensive. everything was fine, just one point to mention: for breakfast it's just red an yelllow jam provided so you rather bring your own breakfast. And be aware that the kitchen and the common romm close at midnight so you have to be quiet or go out:) Maxi, from Germany ~ 8th Nov 2012
