The Mount of Olives Hotel is an affordable family-run hotel situated at the summit of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, next door to the Chapel of Ascension. We are literally surrounded by famous churches and holy sites mentioned in the Bible including, among others, the Garden of Gethsemene, the Tomb of the Virgin Mary, the Church of all Nations, Dominus Flevit, and the Pater Noster (Lord's Prayer).
Our hotel commands a dramatic view of the Old City of Jerusalem and the magnificient Dome of the Rock. We are ideal for independent travellers, budget conscious pilgrims, Holy Land tour groups, and archaeological excursions.
No Curfew. Smoking in rooms and public areas is prohibited by law. Free Internet access available via PC and Wi-Fi. All rooms have electronic safes suitable for 15" laptops. Bus service to & from Damascus Gate operates from 9am - 10pm. Airport taxi pickup & dropoff costs approx $65 (4 pax max).

The rooms were basic but clean. The hot water was never hot enough and the room sink drained very slowly. Bathroom needs hanging facilities for towels etc(some hooks on the back of the door, wall) A hot water jug needs to be provided for every room and also a bar fridge ( these are basic provisions in all hotel/motel rooms) I'm sure patrons would'nt mind paying a few extra dollars for these essential facilities. Also, a list of hotel amenities needs to be in every room: eg, how to use the TV,ph Jeremy, from Australia ~ 4th Feb 2013
