The hostel Kubu is like a little cottage with four rooms, hidden in a yard. It looks like it has been very recently built and the facilities are modern. One problem though, we had no hot water in the showers! I know it was not winter anymore, but still... The atmosphere is nice, we met interesting people and the hostel was not too crowded. I think however than when it's full, there are probably not enough bathrooms. Jeanne, from Belgium ~ 9th May 2013

The Kubu hostel is a great choice. It is no party hostel. I guess most of the travelers want to visit the Curonian spit and it is indeed a nice starting point. The staff is only there during the day, but you get a key for the main door (so you can get in at any time). There is a supermarket next door. The kitchen is new and clean.
