Office hours are from 8am-12am. If you will be arriving outside of office hours, please contact the hostel before your arrival. Please note that if you are arriving after 12am, you will be charged an additional $5 for after hours attention.
Please be accurate on your arrival time. If you are going to be over 2 hours later than your scheduled arrival time, please let us know, or your reservation could be subject to cancellation.
All debit and credit cards are subject to a 4% surcharge, so bring cash if you can!
To use our free shuttle service (available between 8am and 8pm daily), please call us when you arrive at the greyhound or amtrak station, or mega bus. . Since trains and buses are not always on time, we do not schedule appointments for pickups.
*** students dorm beds can only be booked by students *** if you are not in possession of a current student id, a travel ticket showing a departure date or a foreign passport- you will not be allowed to check into a dorm bed
Reservations must be cancelled a full 72 hours ahead of time. All cancellations must be submitted via email. In the case of a late cancellation, the first night of the reservation is charged.
Rooms on holidays - mardi gras, jazz fest, new year's, halloween, or july 4th - must be booked for a minimum of three nights. All cancellations for holiday rooms must be made 7 days in advance or the balance of the reservation will be charged.
Cancellations must be in email at least 48 hours before arrival date. Free shuttle is available to and from Greyhound and Amtrak. Discounted Airport Shuttle available. Call us on arrival for pick up.
Check in time must be completed within 2 hours of the time you select here, or a call made to us to confirm arrival. If your later then 2 hours and no call, you risk your room or bed being sold. Free Shuttles to and from Greyhound, Amtrack and Mega Bus may be called to us when you arrive. For departure, tell us the night before the time you need to depart. Firstly I am 75 years old, partially disabled and I was traveling alone. When I arrived at the rail station I telephoned the hostel for the shuttle service which arrived withing 15 minutes. From then on received all the consideration and kindness anyone could wish for. Should I visit New Orleans again then I will certainly stay at the Bourbon House Hostel. Ken Hayes.
