Il Melting Pot � situato nel cuore della Medina di Tangeri. Essendo una delle medine pi� grandi del paese, � uno dei luoghi di Tangeri che pi� attrae l\'attenzione dei suoi visitatori.
La sua storia � molto antica, l\'occupazione umana del suo territorio � provata dall\'antichit�.
Circondate da muraglie, la Kasbah e la Medina di Tangeri, sono ricche di siti storici:
-\"Lo Zoco Grande\" � la porta d\'entrata principale della Medina, solitamente ci sono delle contadine che vendono verdure coltivate da loro stesse.
- \"La Mosche di Sidi Bu Abid\", con un minareto ricoperto di meravigliosa ceramica policromata.
- \"La Mendubia\", era la residenza del Mendub, responsabile di controllare per conto del Sultano le potenze straniere nell\'epoca in cui Tangeri era zona internazionale.
-\"La Kasbah di Tangeri\" ubicata nella parte ovest della Medina, � un altro sito di grande interesse. Vi si trova il \"Dar el Makzen\", l\'antico palazzo del Governatore, costruito per ordine del Mulay Ismail nel XVII secolo. Il palazzo ora � la sede del Museo d\'Arte marocchina, le cui sale circondano un patio decorato con meravigliose piastrelle di ceramica e dove si possono ammirare meravigliosi oggetti provenienti da tutto il Marocco: tappeti, gioielli, ceramiche, tele e tessuti, tra molti altri. Vi � inoltre una parte circondata dalle mura storiche, che � la parte pi� elevata della citt�. Al fondo vi � uno spettacolare belvedere dal quale � possibile ammirare lo Stretto di Gibilterra...una vista incredibile.
L\'ostello.
Si tratta di un \"Dar\", ossia una casa tradizionale marocchina. E\' dotato di una grande cucina, computer a tua disposizione, wi-fi gratis in tutto l\'edificio, un piccolo bar, due terrazze con una vista spettacolare sui tetti della Medina, il luogo perfetto per conoscere altri viaggiatori, fare colazione, leggere un libro, o per mangiare alcuni piatti tipici marocchini che ci prepara la nostra vicina. Abbiamo un posto sicuro per depositare i tuoi bagagli il giorno del check-out, e la colazione, gli asciugamani, e ovviamente le lenzuola, sono inclusi nel prezzo.
Stanze.
Le nostre stanze sono tutte molto spaziose, da 4 a 6 letti, o doppie. Sono tutte dotate di letti nuovi e comodi e armadietti di sicurezza individuali. La pulizia � un aspetto molto importante per noi.
Abbiamo asciugacapelli e lampade da lettura individuali nel caso dovessi averne bisogno.
Attivit�.
Collaboriamo con diverse aziende della citt� cosicch� potrai usufruire delle migliori tariffe nel caso volessi fare attivit� come kitesurf, windsurf, immersioni, escursioni in montagna o a spiagge vergini, passeggiate a cavallo, paracadutismo, etc...
Staff.
Il nostro staff parla varie lingue, alcune meglio di altre... Ti possiamo aiutare in inglese, francese, spagnolo, arabo e italiano. Troverai un membro dello staff a tua disposizione 24 ore su 24.
Ci vediamo presto a Tangeri!
We’re close to the famous Jamal al Kebir, the biggest mosque in the medina. Gran Zoco Square (the most important centre of commerce) and the beach are 10 minutes’ walk from the hostel. Being one of the biggest medinas in the country, this is one of the places in Tangier that attracts the most attention from visitors.
We’re set in a dar, a cosy, traditional Moroccan house. There is a big kitchen, computers at your disposal, free Wi-Fi everywhere in the hostel and a little bar.
Our two terraces have amazing views over the Medina's roofs; this is the best place to meet other travellers, have breakfast, read a book or try some typical Moroccan plates cooked by our neighbour.
We have safe storage for your luggage on check-out day.
Breakfast, towels and, of course, sheets are included in the price. We also have free maps of the city, board games and the best information and recommendations about Tangier.
Our rooms are all very spacious, with four, six or eight beds. There’s also doubles. Each has new and comfortable beds and individual security lockers.
Cleanliness is a very important issue for us.
We have hairdryers and reading lights at your disposal.
We collaborate with different companies of the city so you can get the best prices if you want to do activities such as kite-surfing, windsurfing, diving, excursions in the mountains or to virgin beaches, horse-riding, parachute, etc.
Our staff speak many languages, some better than others... We can help you in English, French, Spanish, Arabic and Italian. You will find someone from the staff at your disposal 24 hours a day, for anything you may need.
The history of the medina is very ancient, the occupation of its land it's testified from the antiquity.
Surrounded by walls, the Kasbah and the Medina of Tangier have many historical sites.
The Big Zoco is the main entrance door to the Medina; usually there are peasant women selling vegetables they grow themselves.
The Mosque of Sidi Bu Abid with a minaret covered by beautiful polychrome ceramic.
The Mendubia was the residence of the Mendub, responsible for watching for the sultan at the foreign powers during the age in which Tangier was an international region.
The Kasbah of Tangier, situated in the west of the Medina, is another place of great interest. Here is located the Dar el Makzen, the ancient palace of the Governor, built by the order of Mulay Ismail in the XVII century. Now it is the seat of the Museum of Moroccan Arts, whose rooms surround a beautifully tiled decorated courtyard, and where you can admire objects coming from all Morocco: carpets, jewels, ceramic tiles, fabrics and textiles, among others. There is also a part surrounded by the historical walls, which is the most elevated point of the city.
At the end there is a spectacular viewpoint from which you can see the Gibraltar Strait...a phenomenal view.

Failure to cancel within 24 hours from arrival will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay. Reception is open from 8.00 to midnight. Check out is at 12.00. You can check in at any time, but your bed won't be ready before 14.00. Animals are not allowed in the hostel.

Quite expensive, but still it makes you want to come back. The staff here is awesome: everyone is friendly and helpfull, speaks good English and is able to give usefull advice on the city. They even meet you upon arrival so you don't get lost! They behave like friends who are happy to have you around, not like servants, thus creating a really great, easy and positive vibe. A tasty breakfast is included, and they serve good dinner at reasonable price (40 Dh on May 2013). Elena, from Russia ~ 30th May 2013
