Looking to have fun, meet new people, and see DC. This is the hostel to experience all that in a safe laid-back environment!!!! Hilltop Hostel a lovely privately owned Victorian home built in 1891 with lots of charm and character and is listed on the DC register of historic buildings.

The neighborhood has lots of unique shops, with CVS and Post Office blocks away. There's many eateries from different cultures several neighborhood pubs that serve food for enjoyment and relaxation. If you prefer to cook in our kitchen grocery store is located short walk from hostel. Visit the library 2 blks away for those of you here for internships needing to do research. Entertainment we have TV room with satelitte svc including HBO lots of other channels. There are games,books poker table and chips for card games for a rainy day, Our basement provides the perfect party atmosphere with a pool table ,fusball and electronic bowling game couches and satellite TV for your enjoyment.

Our lovely back yard has horse shoe pits, deck, table, chairs, couches and hammocks where you can socialize, party or just relax .Gas grill for barbecuing. We're known for our popular back yard parties, cookouts, lovely gardens, and our holiday parties. Guests are welcome to alcohol.For those who prefer the great outdoors, there is area to set up your own small tent where you can sleep under the stars in our private backyard.

Neighborhood is perfect location for those of you who love historical homes or gardening. In fact, the house next to hostel was owned and lived in by one of Richard Nixon's assistants previously, I myself love to just walk about looking at the homes and their lovely gardens. We provide free maps of downtown sites. There is an ATM across the street and also 2 blocks away. Group rates for parties of 15 people or more. Our friendly helpful staff live on premises . Occasional cookouts and a party for all holidays . Be sure to bring instruments for our jam sessions and sing along's . We look forward to seeing you at what we hope can be your home away from home!
