The location was very good.Plenty of places to eat or shop.Also close to subways and bus stations and touristy spots.Our only problem was trying to catch a taxi to the train station.It seems they can book for a taxi to the airport but not the train station.We finally got one after trying to flag down more than 10 taxis and it cost us 100 yuan (was told the actual should be around 25 yuan).Would definitely recommend this place. 2nd time in 365 Inn. It's only10mn by feet from Tian'anmen or subway station (Xianmen) hutong around is nice... It's very cheap and provides western or chinese food. As most of youth hostels, staff is young, helpful and speaks english, more or less. However, it might be very noisy and smoky, especially in the evening, and they may have become a little more mingy than 6 month before : meal smaller (breakfasts...), rooms cleaning not very well done... Good location and value for the price. Easy walk to Tiannamen square and the Forbidden City and close to the metro to go anywhere else. Also easy to get to from the airport though as can be expected for Beijing the train was always packed. Good food and drink options nearby, but a definite highlight was the restaurant/attached to the hostel. Good food, drink and great prices. Great hostel with friendly, English-speaking staff. I was a bit disappointed with the evening-bar atmosphere. I kept hearing great stories from friends who had visited in June, but in November, it was pretty dead. Most travelers were older or traveling with children so it was a different experience for someone like me in my 20s. Overall though, this was probably one of the cleanest hostels that I have been to.
