Extremely over priced for the room and building. Felt dirty and unclean. Hot and noisy. Thankfully we were only there for one night. Great location but extremely outdated vibe. Seems like they also house long-term residents which makes for an overall interesting scenario. I would not stay here again nor recommend to stay here. The staff were very helpful, breakfast was great, lobby and computer access nice. Appreciated the bathroom cleanliness, and the international collection of guests. Cons: my bed was uncomfortable and the noise level fairly high with the sound of doors closing loudly and on one night people were talking at 3:00 am near my room. It was a good value, but in the future I might choose to pay a bit more to get a quieter and more comfortable sleep. Anne, from USA ~ 10th May 2013

Typical hostel in a great location. Big free breakfast was a nice bonus. I read some online complaints about noise and sanitation before going and found I had no difficulties with either during my stay. Get to the cafe early for breakfast! Cory, from Canada ~ 24th Apr 2013

Great Hostel in walking distance to the Common and most major attractions. Awesome, big, cooked breakfast. free popcorn and internet. Not much more you could ask more! Cleanliness in the bedrooms was very good, only the toilets were in average shape a few times. Max, from Germany ~ 18th Mar 2013

The rooms were very good. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. For Indian travellers i would suggest they travel with an american pin adaptor as nobody there has sockets for round pins. The place is pretty safe. i walked at around 8 to 9 pm in the night on berkeley arlington and boylston and found it pretty safe (everyone should be precautious though) Mandar, from India ~ 10th Mar 2013

Very nice hostel. Good Location near the orange T-Line ( 5 min walk.), 15 min Walk to the Boston Commons and propably like 25-30 Minutes to the city center. Staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our room as well as the bathrooms were very clean. Very good breakfast. Many areas to sit around and chat. Nicolas, from Germany ~ 9th Mar 2013
