Amigo Hostel Amsterdam in , Netherlands

-the location is really bad, very far away from the city center -the staff was not helpful at all ! when we tried to check in, they acted like they didnt see us they were just busy doing their own staff -their attitude were not good -they looked like it was their ever first day to operate a hostel, the check in process was really slow, they gave us an invalid card -it wasnot safe to live there, in case of fire, its impossible to escape -the toilet was very small, bathroom was dirty Chung Yan, from Hong Kong ~ 24th Mar 2013

The bathroom was smelling bad all the 3 nights that we were there! The guy in the reception, the one that spend the night there, wasnt nice, didnt helped and when we were going out, at 6AM, he was sleeping, so we wake him up and said that we were leaving, so he had to give the deposit back, when we went to the room and got the bags and get down again he was at the shower, so WTF?!?! The bus cant wait you take shower man!! And he only said, "Take it easy man!!" So, seriously, go to another place! Lucas, from Brazil ~ 19th Feb 2013

It is not the best location because the buses stops to work at the midnight, so it not so easy to get there after 12 o'clock. There is a steep stairs, so if you have a lot of suitcases, it is not a good place to stay. Otherwise the room for couple was very good, but the bathrooms are not enough for the number of customers that they have. But just for a couple it is ok! ruana, from Brazil ~ 18th Jan 2013

Tengo un problema cuando reserve me descontaron de mi cuenta el monto total que son alrededor de 200€ y me dijeron que tenía que pagar la cuenta de nuevo la pague, y me comentaron que el dinero se me reembolsaría a mi cuenta bancaria pero ya paso más de una semana y el dinero no esta en mi cuenta si me pueden ayudar les agradecería ya qe cupo el dinero soy de México y no tengo más diero muchas gracias por su ayuda Alan, from Mexico ~ 28th Dec 2012

Very rudimentary facility. Literally only two beds in the room. Not even wall-mount hooks to hang a coat or anything. It's quite a distance from the city center and very limited restaurants/other amenities around. To rent a bike around the hostel was more expensive than to do the same near the city center. We almost didn't get our keycard deposite back because the receptionist didn't specify on the receipt what we paid for. In the end our copy of the receipt was taken from us in exchange. just check that the staff gives you the key for a room you payed for (the right number of people) and everything will be fine in the fridge there´s space for the visitors´ food but it´s only a little part and so it´s always full, don´t buy that much if you´re not sure there is a place for it just remember a locket for the closet i the room, but nothing should happen if you forget it...
