Had a great experience, met a lot of people, very clean place, nice building, chill/easy going staff. Originally I was pretty nervous as this was my first visit to any hostel, but after the first night I had realized how great the atmosphere was here. Had an amazing stay. Great location and a good value for where it is in the city. Hostel didn't have a key to give me for my room which is awkward to say the least. The staff didn't really seem to care about this either. The air conditioner wasn't on for most of my stay and it was sweltering in that room making it difficult to get any sleep. The conditions were not impressive but survivable considering the very low pricing. The interesting part was the staff. All of them from France proper, they were not even making an attempt at being a friendly. They guys were pretty douchy while the girls looked at you like you are the sum of the earth and turned the other way when you passed them in the halls. Awesome place to stay in Montreal. The staff is great and the atmosphere in the hostel is the best I've ever had. you'll for sure meet cool people. Another good point, lots of nice pubs/bars around, on crescent street for example. The only "bad point" is that the breakfast is not so great, but I'll definitely recommend you the hostel. I LOVED the old building, but I wish the staff knew more about it. We asked about the history, and they weren't able to tell us much.The included breakfast was a nice touch. Pretty much a really good base location for a traveler like me. Decently close to everything in the main part of the city, and all other stuff is within an half hour's walk. Auberger Bishop was really great. The only thing that could have been better was the cleanliness of the bathroom. Shower curtains had about an inch of slime on them. Other than that it was a great experience! Lauren, from USA ~ 17th May 2013
