I had so much troubles with my booking. They gave me the wrong room, and thenthe owner wanted me to pay more for this. The showers are horrible, they just dont have hot water or they dont have even water! If you can, dont book this hostel! Caio, from Brazil ~ 27th Mar 2013

I did the reservation for this hostel but when i arrived there, they offered me a room in the hsotel in front (majuma) and it was a coplete mess. The room was too small, dirty and permanent glass window that could not br adjusted. There is nothing in the share bathroom (no toilet paper and a bit dirty). They said that i must have a breakfast at brighthostel eventhough theyputme in the room in another hostel and i wasn't readyuntil 8am. Tuve una muy mala experiencia al contratar desde el hostel un servicio de visita de las ruinas cercanas a Cusco a caballo: el principal problema es que está prohibido visitarlas a caballo. Además, los guías no cumplieron con lo prometido, dejándome sola en medio de un camino de barro a la entrada de Qenqo para evitar tener problemas con los guardias de las ruinas. They are in the process of moving into another place, so they weren't always readily available.However, they were really sweet, made a delicious breakfast, and always helpful when sought out.The facilities were okay.The kitchen is a bit small, but convenient.The showers were not hot so I am not sure if that is to be included in the new facilities or not. The location is not 2 minutes from the main plaza, and the room is quite small and without window.I felt very bad on the 1st two days because of attitude sickness.I found that they have another building that is newer and bigger, while I was staying at the simple and old building, like a village house.The staffs were friendly but not good enough to care the guests. The people at Bright Hostel were very nice and helpful. Very basic, rooms small, but clean. The breakfast was tea, bread, butter and jam. Good location and fast WiFi. Felt very safe. Not a cozy atmosphere but I was only there two nights. No place to sit outside. They sent an email confirming my reservation and asked if I wanted to be picked up from the airport. The Staff, The Staff was the best part, very nice, very informative. They really want you to have a great time and recommend all the best places to visit for the lowest price. Jose was excellent, anything you need they are available to help you 24/7. The room was big and very clean, the hot water would turn off at times but they could always fix it asap. Hot water is hard to come by in Cuzco, some hostels that I stayed at did not have any hot water so I was thankful that Bright hostel had it. Ov Felix, from USA ~ 6th Sep 2012

Really enjoyed this place, the family running it are really friendly and always happy to help. I became quite ill while in Peru and they looked after me, calling an ambulance for me and being genuinely concerned for my health, this was really nice when you're in a strange place on your own. The hostel itself is great value for money and in a great location. Excellent wifi and free breakfast. I'll stay here again Joshep, from Portugal ~ 28th Jun 2012

Poor management and customer satisfaction.Failed to pick me up from airport as arranged, no apology or explanation offered.I had to wait for check in time and when it came I still couldn't check in because previous tenant did not return key, so they handed me the spare key which was hanging by the front door, at anyones reach. felt unsafe not knowing if key was ever returnedBathroom was somewhat clean, but had no toilette paper.water wa shut off all day so I could not shower.
