I only stayed for one night in a 4 bed dorm. The hostel felt clean. Although I didn't use the facilities that much I found the bar to be nice. The girl at check-in was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was toast, jam and butter. However, they also offered yoghurt and fruit salad, along with coffee, tea and orange drink. The Wifi didn't work for me but I can't tell whether it was due to my phone, and I spent the whole day in the city, slept and checked out early. Overall, a recommendation. Haberme quedado en la habitacion de 36 camas fue la peor decisión, el staff muy x, una noche llegaron unos chicos borrachos hicieron el ruido del mundo y no dejaban dormir, varias personas les dijeron que por favor no hicieran tanto ruido pero lo seguian haciendo y al final el staff no hice nada. The room I stayed in looked similar to the pictures of the metal bed frames. I stayed in a 14 mixed dorm. It was the middle of January and it bit cold throughout the hostel (bathrooms & hallway). The showers were hot- loved that. But the toilets in one restroom were all clogged. I went upstairs and those were clogged too and wouldnt flush. I enjoyed the fact they had computers available with internet and printing. I checked in at midnight & left at 6am. From what I saw, the culture was friendly. Julie, from USA ~ 21st Jan 2013

I would try another place if possible. The wifi did not work in the rooms as promised. The bathrooms had no heat. There were other hostels much closer to where all the sights are. The staff were the best part, quite friendly. The breakfast was pretty good. The lounge was a very comfortable place to hang out and there were some free laptops to use. Staff were very gracious about storing my luggage and letting me use the lounge the day I checked out as my train did not leave until 11:40 PM. Doreen, from USA ~ 20th Jan 2013

Excellent stay thank you! The location is great, its close to all the shops and a short walk away from the Royal Mile and castle. Great coffee, which was well needed after a great New Years experience! The bar area is big and social with free wifi.Happy 2013! Margaret, from England ~ 2nd Jan 2013

I wasn't at the hostel much except to sleep, so I can't comment much on the social aspects, but the common area had some games and a TV with a Wii, and a bar, so it looked like a fun place to hang out with other travelers. The lockers were a good size, though my suitcase was just a hair too big to fit in it. Beds were clean and relatively comfortable. Breakfast was good (cereals, toast, tea/coffee, juice) and there was plenty of it, even if you ate late in the morning. Great deal for the cost! Amanda, from USA ~ 14th Oct 2012
