This place has no character. If you arrive at a busy time a four bed dorm will now be a 5 bed. They put extra beds in the rooms when its full which in my opinion is greed. Otherwise its clean and some of the backpacking staff make are very nice. The owners intimidate you before making you feel welcome. Stay in the HI or Clarence Castle.

Spent a week here. A very welcoming place that you could almost call home. Great place to meet, lots of young travelers. Pancakes every morning at 9am :)Great location for walking downtown. Average Cleanliness, Slept at the top of a Bunk Bed, bit hard on the back but hey for 20$a night, it did the job.

Canadiana Backpackers Inn is everything one is looking right in downtown Toronto. I have stayed at dozens of hostels and this one rates one of the highest! Enjoy.

This place was great! very nice hostel... my only complaint is that there were no lockers in the rooms, and i had to be really careful with my valuables and not leave them out of sight.. a worry i could have done without.

I loved this hostel, everything ran smoothly and I felt comfortable being there. A fun atmosphere 24hrs a day with good quiet rooms.
