the staff was great! they immediately showed us where to go on a map for cheap dining, good attractions, etc. we had a private apartment which was awesome. the only problem we encountered was not knowing to hit the button outside the bathroom to turn on the hot water. it is very conveniently located just north of the old town. free internet. great. This is a very interesting hostel with 2 standards... I was first put in a room in the basement with a small window but no breeze. It was hot. The bathroom had not been cleaned in a few moons. When I came back from old town, I complained and they moved me to a dorm on the second floor which was awesome. It had a kitchen attached, very clean bathroom. It appears that if you don't complain, you will be given the worst bed in the house. Fortunately, I complained and was upgraded. Gratien, from USA ~ 8th Sep 2012

This was a great hostel! The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to be helpful and make you feel welcome. I stayed here by myself in a mixed dorm because I wanted to meet new people and have a good time in Split, and I wasn't disappointed. They have a common space "the underground" to hang out, meet new people and then for those that want, they take everyone to the club for a night of dancing. Great small hostel, very close to the old town (the main attraction of the city). Friendly and helpful staff with knowledge of the city and great tips on where to go and eat. Wifi in the rooms and big TVs with lots of movies if you get rain is a nice plus. Philippe, from Canada ~ 25th Jul 2012
