Loved it. Right on the lake! Beautiful views! The hostel is a few miles outside of Keswick, but it is a beautiful walk or short ferry ride. There were several families that had noisy children, but they were all in bed by 8:30, so it wasn't an issue. Esther, from USA ~ 6th Apr 2013

This is probably the best hostel I have ever stayed at, I cannot recommend it enough! The location is beautiful, with a fantastic view of the lake, and the building itself is quiet and comfortable, with much of its manor-house elegance still maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful... the trail that they recommended (which literally began behind the hostel) was fantastic, complete with a waterfall, 360 degree views of the lakes and Keswick, and an ancient stone circle.
