It's really great place, three minutes walk to MRT station and ten minutes walk to night market, and they have very nice staffs, kind, warm heart, and willing to help. 3 shared bathrooms and 2 shared toliets, clean enough. I came to Taipei to find work teaching. The ONLY thing I planned before I left was booking Eight Elephants. It was hands down the smartest thing i've done in recent memory. I made some solid bromances for some intense nights of drinking and got to experience the great food and culture. Eight Elephants is in a great location of the city to experience all those things. Lastly the staff is AWESOME, very helpful and friendly. I think i'm in love with every girl there. I love to visit whenever I can! Kailan, from Canada ~ 16th Oct 2012

This one is one of Taipei's best hostels, I guess! The staff is easy-going, the location is wonderful and you really feel comfortable there! Space might be a little problem: I stayed in the double private room for one night and the room was a little bit small. But, to be honest, after I switched of the lights, I did not really care -). Small, cozy hostel in a good location near the subway. Just follow their directions closely and you'll find it. Stayed here over another place because of the reference to comfy beds. The bed was indeed more comfy than usual in Asia, but rather worn, unfortunately. Otherwise, very friendly and helpful staff, clean room, and they urge people to quiet down later on in the evening, which is considerate. Would surely stay again! This hostel is definitely the best hostel i ve been to in Taipei. location is convenient and if you follow the staff directions to the letter, it is easy to find. Single rooms are quite small but you will not find a comfier bed. Hostel is very clean, no one is allowed to wear shoes inside. There is a kitchen, laundry facilities and a nice common room. This hostel is super awesome and really comfy. We stayed in a double room and the bed was SUPER cozy and the common room was clean and funky. Two things to note though: 1. In the directions it says that there are 'eight elephants on the door". They're TINY so look carefully and to your right when you walk into the smaller alley at the end of the directions. 2. Their checkout it 10-2. When it's busy they don't start cleaning till 2 so don't expect to check in any time before 3-4. :) Dana, from South Korea ~ 5th Jul 2012
