Quite an old hostel. I stayed in a private room as it was so cheap. It was quite warm in the room and I had to leave the window open most nights. The 'bathroom' is tiny... The basin and mirror is not in the bathroom. The shower I could barely move in, the water sprayed out everywhere and the shower curtain would stick to my legs as it was so small. The toilet didn't have much pressure,Overall though it was clean, and the breakfast was good. Great location. Ashleigh, from Australia ~ 11th Mar 2013

This was overall a very good hostel. Right next to the Glasgow Central station and very easy to find. Only two complaints were the elevator (very slow and not reliable) and the shower in my room was very very hot. Those are two minor things so everything else is worth the price. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Sean, from USA ~ 15th Feb 2013

Wonderful location, everything is on walking distance. Nice breakfast. Good value of money. Yet, on the flip-side, congested rooms, broken lockers and old-dirty beddings. Plus expect guest form age 18 to 80. All in all nice place to crush a night if you are real traveller. Tasawar, from Pakistan ~ 14th Dec 2012

Very tricked-out hostel has a nice bar downstairs but it wasn't a noise issue, internet hubs, etc. Free breakfast was great! Only problem was an extremely faulty elevator. Rooms were clean, but bathroom seemed worn shower curtain was old/dirty. Clearly meant to house weekend partyers, though we didn't have noise issues. All in all a great experience, if not very home-y. Free breakfast really made up for it, though. Madeline, from USA ~ 1st Nov 2012

The shower was crazy! When you turn it on a blast of water comes out so hard I felt like I was going to drown! It was so tiny you could turn around and the it flooded the floor!I did like that we had a little desk and lots of storage.I was in a female dorm with 4 beds.We had our own private toilet, sink and shower. You had to bring your own towel. There was a nice free breakfast in the bar downstairs. The free inter- net did not work...so you had to pay to use itin the bar. Lana, from USA ~ 22nd Sep 2012

Good location, next to the city center. Too big in my opinion. The second lift doesn't work and it was very dificult to catch the only one ) Vanesa, from Spain ~ 10th Aug 2012

The hotel is big, a nine-floors building, so it was not like a simple youth hostel, but more like a hotel complex. Staff was nice, breafast sufficient and well organised, in the bar near reception. One disapponted point is security : anyone can enter the buildingand thus doors corridors by entering the "Mint and lime" bar, or by reception which cannot filter so many people going through. Only one lift (out of 2) was working, not enough for a nine-floors building. Room comfortable and clea Alexandra, from France ~ 7th Aug 2012
