The hostel was amazing, I met some really good people and will remember my stay for the rest of my life. The only thing is that there are no locks on the doors however, I didn't have any problems. Nice hostel for a quiet stay, really easy to travel through Tuscany from! Thanks so much! Emilie, from Australia ~ 21st Jul 2012

I loved it here!It had a very homey feel, like I was visiting someone, not staying in a hostel. The entire atmosphere was extremely relaxing. The town has its own train station, making day trips easy, but I found I just wanted to stay in Certaldo and enjoy it! Sarah, from USA ~ 17th Jul 2012

There is a reason they have a minimum stay of 2 nights. You'll probably want to stay for more! Amazing atmosphere and staff. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, swimming pool, bikes, great communal areas. Don't come here if you don't want to make friends. Great place to relax in the Tuscan countryside but close enough to everywhere for day trips. Would definitely stay here again! It's a bit of a walk from town, but they do offer pick ups and drop offs as long as you coordinate your times Allison, from Australia ~ 23rd Jun 2012

I totally loved my time at Fattoria del Bassetto. Yes it is a little out of the way outside of Florence, but that is exactly why I choose to stay there. It is a fantastic place to get away from the tourist crowds of the larger cities, but still in a really good central location to explore Tuscany. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and I immediately felt at home. Would definately reccommend this home away from home and I hope to return there myself one day! This hostel was a great experience in a small Tuscanian city. I met great people there and the atmosphere was wonderfull. Only one "negative" side was, that the reception wasn't always open when it should've been in the mornings and when I needed it. Anne, from Finland ~ 7th Jun 2012

I LOVED this hostel. Florence and Pisa were only a train ride away and it was easy to make day trip. It was by far the most beautiful place I've ever been. If you do stay make sure you get good directions on how to get there. Unless you know where you are going you will probably miss it. Erica, from USA ~ 25th May 2012
