I was told I'd have room on the night of 2/8 (I was told this on the afternoon of 1/8), & when I arrived this was not the case.

It was a typical hostel. I enjoyed the courtyard and kitchen area to meet people. They had internet terminals and a phone in the hostel and it's right at the metro station. Our knob on our lock was broken so it was pretty hard to lock and unlock the door from inside. The sink was plugged and smelled pretty bad, shower was great. I thought the staff was great though. They were very helpful!

we did not get the room we booked for (a three bed room instead of a double room), at night the area is quite gloomy, it is not really clean and on the top of all they asked us to pay 8euro more without any reason, as they did for the other customers.

Pillows were non-existant and someone stole my food from the fridge. The other people that stayed there were grotty and would leave dishes piled up in the sink. I would not stay there again.

Unsafe area. Very sketchy. Outside of the hostel are many men who are inappropriate and if you are a girl travelling alone or with other girls, do not go out past dark. It is dirty, there is bad security, and triple bunks, which is ridiculous and requires acrobat skills to get into the bunk beds. Try Peace and Love hostel a few blocks away towards Stalingrad, or Woodstock Hostel near Anvers if you need somewhere more nearby to stay at.

The location is very bad and the staff very unpleasant. But the hostel is pretty et very clean. I had reserved a room of 3 with bathroom and they gave me a room of 6 without bathroom, to take or leave.

The sewage backed up in our room and the guy at the tourist information was afraid that we would get knifed. We stayed one night and then moved to a hotel. You can find a double room for 35 a night, so it ends up being cheaper.

Well, it was overall not a very nice place... but a wonderful experience. Great variety of people from all over, all walks of life... sketchy as hell location, but less than 100 feet from a metro, close to lots of nice areas, and easy to get places in general. Early wake up a tad irritating, and the cleaning guys are mean. Loads of fun. Go to a few bars.

We read some really bad reviews but found them pretty unfounded. The area is no worse than the shadier areas of London. Our sheets were clean, our room was clean, and had a shower in it as advertised. If you book the double room you get your own key and no hassle from other guests- rather like a 1 star hotel-basic but cheap and no big problems.
