Good hostel, pancake breakfast is lovely & fresh but listen to other reviews regarding the wi-fi. It is sketchy at best. Compared with other HI hostels, this was quite bad. Very dirty and neglected - the room stank even when we had it private. The carpet smelled like it had housed homeless people for months, restrooms not cleaned often, WC and washbasin out of service for days, tangles of hair stayed days in the showers... Air conditioning was at full blast in the corridors making the transit between the shower and the room quite chilly. A very friendly hostel but some points I did not like: -Women showers dirty -Breakfast included, but it only included pancakes. It was excellent experience to stay in hostel. The services of the staff members and arrangement of the hostel was excellent. Staff was very much helpful. Very big hostel, it's difficult to meet people here, except in your room. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and it's calm for sleeping. It's a little far from Banff but you have a free pass for the shuttle bus.
