HI-Vancouver Downtown in , Canada

Great location within blocks of the beach, shops, and close to Stanley Park - surprisingly quiet location at night which was great for sleeping! My overall experience at this hostel was great. However, the room doors made a loud squeaky noise every time they were openend of closed. Bunk beds were also loud and squeaky every time someone moved. Barbara, from USA ~ 31st Mar 2013

This is my favourite hostel, I love to come back again and again. Located in a quiet place in Vancouver. It´s a bit away from downtown, but you can also choose HI on Granville street, if you like city rush. Appreciate free towels and a lot options for breakfast. Unfortunately, Internet in this hostel sucked my every single visit. Signal is strenght, but Internet is soooooooo slow. Takes about minute to load google page. Service was great, staff very polite and helpful, and informative of Vancity and transportation. Building was very clean, and the property was busy.I enjoyed the great fruit and cerealbreakfast at 8 am.Amenities like food, downtown attractions and coffee shops nearby as were bus stops. Quiet just off the beat location helped with good sleep on a good mattress.Bring an umbrella as It can rain. "Tags" given back to staff to get luggage from free storage. Good trip! Really nice place in a very attractive area in the center of Vancouver. The hostel was really full when I was there, and still it was clean and a really good place to stay.
